Senior Session in the Vineyard
Senior year of high school is a magical time. Although it brings on tons of stress, there is something about it that is just perfect. When most people remember high school, some of the clearest memories are their senior trip, prom, graduation day, and the last few months spent with people they’ve known for years. Because of the bittersweet feeling of senior year, senior portraits are some of my favorites to take.
Sammi is a senior at Hammonton High School. She wanted someone to take her senior portraits, and the owner of Rejuvenation Day Spa in Hammonton recommended me.
For this session, I used my uncle’s winery, Amalthea Cellars, located in Atco. The vineyard there is gorgeous, thus making it an ideal spot for photoshoots. It was a beautiful summer night. It wasn’t too hot, and the sun was just coming down. Sammi was so fun to photograph! Being a field hockey player, Sammi wanted to incorporate her love for the sport into her senior pictures. I loved this idea! Senior portraits are great for showing a senior’s passions that she loved during high school. Incorporating this sport into the photoshoot is a great way for her to remember that part of her life down the road.
I loved this session so much that I immediately made samples to show it off. The vineyard complimented the photos very well, and were really a big factor in how good they turned out. Also, a few of Sammi’s friends saw and now want me to take their photos!
In all, I am so happy that Sammi chose me for this session and I am SO excited to see how senior year treats her!
